10th Latin American Youth Conference

On November 5, the Alabama Latin American Society through Project Mi Futuro, will host the Tenth Annual Latin American Youth Conference at the Meeting: 

“HB-56 is not a game: it has real stories.” 

Young leaders in Alabama will come together to make history. They will listen to testimonies of different people affected by the application of Immigration Law HB-56, analyze its effects and consequences in their lives, and undertake their role in this historical moment. High school students will join college peers and members of Project Mi Futuro along with interested professors and members of the community to examine real cases involving the lives of HB-56 victims.

The conference will take place at the Alabama Theatre on Saturday, November 5, 2011 at 3:00PM
